Executive Board Members in Attendance: Ian Mitchell (VP Scheduling), Matt McMichael (Blue Div. Commish) and Jeff Gresock (Gold Div. Commish)
Blue Division Report: Nothing to report
Gold Division Report: Nothing to report
VP of Scheduling's Report: • Ian went over current numbers for each program (team numbers for each age group and division). o The deadline to add teams will be July 18th; after that date, no addt'l teams will be added.
• Discussions were had on the preliminary Blue and Gold Division schedule that was emailed out to each program chair; the White Division is being created and will be filled in as the numbers become final. -All the team numbers that were used for the prelim schedule were based in info sheets from last month (May).
• Due to the lower volumes of 2nd and 3rd teams (based on May numbers), the White Division looks to be very light across all age groups. -Proposal was made to move Cockeysville from the Blue Division to the Gold and Perry Hall's 2nd teams down to the White Division (PH would stay in the Gold if a 3rd team is made) Perry Hall declined the proposal, rathering to keep all of their non-1st teams in the Gold Division -The proposal was then modified to just move Cockeysville down, into the Gold Division.
• The proposal passed with 13 votes (AB, BA, CKY, CON, EW, FA, HdG, HER, JV, LTRC, NH, PH and TOW – none opposed)
• Another proposal was suggested by Jeff Gresock in relation to low numbers in the White Division.
-For any age group in the White Division that cannot field a minimum of 4 teams, those teams are to be moved up, into the Gold Division, eliminating the 3rd Division completely for that age group The proposal passed with 13 votes (AB, BA, CKY, CON, EW, FA, HdG, HER, JV, LTRC, NH, PH and TOW – none opposed)
Old/New Business: • Discussions in regards to the proposal made last month to remove the "Tackle-to-Tackle" designation on only the defensive side of the ball (Offense to remain).
The proposal failed with 7 votes 'for' (BA, CKY, FA, HdG, LTRC, PH and TOW) and 5 votes 'against' (CON, EW, HER, JV and NH); lacked a 2/3's majority vote by the attending Program Chairs.Meeting
